Howdy,

Does that printer have an internal Post Script (Clone) Interpreter? If
so, I'd try to use a PS driver for best printing results.

As an example, I've got a Brother HL-5250DN monochrome laser printer
(reliable, cheap and noisy) that has a PS Clone internally. In
printing the documentation for the fourier fonts (do

texdoc fourier

in Terminal) the \wideparen and \widering examples didn't print using
the standard CUPS driver but printed fine, along with everything else,
with the Brother BR-Script3 driver.

Good Luck,
