Howdy,

1)I'd update the OS to at least 10.5.4. There were definite pdf  
printing problems in the earlier versions of Leopard.

2)There is a beta version of LaTeXiT (1.16.0 beta 4) that seems to  
correct some problems on my system. Try downloading mactex- 
additions.mpkg.zip from <http://www.tug.org/mactex/morepackages.html>.
