[OS X TeX] TeXLive 2008 tlmgr - can't locate TeXLive/TLPOBJ.pm

Hi, I hope you can help me. I'm running TeXLive 2008 on Leopard 10.5.5.
I have always been able to use tlmgr --gui to update my texlive, but am
now unable to.

This seems to coincide with my installing Fink and latex2rtf, which has
in turn installed TeTeX.

I know I'm still 'switched' to TeXLive:

	MacBook:~ nick$ texdist --current
	TeXLive-2008

...which ties in with the preference item.

However, when I try to start tlmgr, I get the following:

I don't like the look of the //tlpkg on the first line of the output.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might resuscitate tlmgr?
