[OS X TeX] "Hijacking" a thread

May I note that I have suggested quite a few times over the past few
years that we provide a line at the bottom of the e-mail advising
people how to start a new topic. I was always told that it is not
necessary. Is it not? All this grief and waste of time so easily
avoided.
