The printer is a big Canon photocopier, and it definitely prints Postscript.

Ionita, your file prints fine on an ImageRunner 5075.

Did you try installing the PPD file here:
  <http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDDisclaimerAct&fcategoryid=2275&modelid=14923&id=44002&file=/cpr/software/imagerunner/PPDv2.50MacOSX_R.hqx>

Also, is the copier connected to an ImagePASS S2 print server? (It
should be a smallish box on the side with a small LCD screen and a
few buttons.) If so, you need to install the following instead of
the drivers for the printer itself.

<http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDDisclaimerAct&fcategoryid=2307&modelid=14899&id=53745&file=/cpr/software/imagerunner/iR-Faxv2.20Mac.dmg>

We've had lots of trouble in the past with ImageRunners and Macs, and
Canon support for Macs is pretty crappy.
