Graphicx's good in turning an image something ... Check yourself with
dvitype! Without graphicx and *with* geometry the DVI file can contain:
42: beginning of page 1
87: xxx 'papersize=845.04684pt,597.50787pt'
122: xxx '! /landplus90 true store'
