I am somewhat mystified by the request, and apologize in advance.

I assume the RTF has technical content. How is it displayed in the RTF?

There was a product that converted LaTeX to Word and back again but
only in Windows. (Two separate products.)
I believe that these products came with a month of trial use; I gave
one a shot and it worked pretty well. In the end
I wound up retyping the manuscript, but...

You will need Windows, Word, and MathType to go from LaTeX to Word.
Again, MathType has a 30 day evaluation
period (and anyway it is not an expensive product; there is
educational pricing also, I believe.)

Good luck!
