Howdy,

TypeIt4Me and the FasTeX exapnsion dictionary are very nice. You can  
also use the built-in Command Completion facility of TeXShop along  
with a custom CommandCompletion.txt file and Applescript macros  
(available as CommandCompletion.zip from <http://homepage.mac.com/ 
herbs2>) to do a similar thing. You've got to use the Esc key to  
trigger the expansion, but I prefer that control. The expansions use a  
bullet as a placeholder and the macros jump back ad forth selecting  
(and deleting if wished) the bullets so you can jump from argument to  
argument.
