I've used currvita with the following preamble, which suits my  
personal tastes:

\documentclass[11pt,article,oneside,letterpaper]{memoir}
\usepackage{microtype}
\usepackage{graphicx}
\usepackage{currvita}
\pagestyle{empty}

\settypeblocksize{9in}{6.5in}{*}
