[OS X TeX] texdoc in TeX Live 2008

I have been using
file:///usr/local/texlive/2008/doc.html
to view documentation, so out of curiosity I tried texdoc when I read  
the posting below and found that I no longer have such a command in  
the terminal.
ThomasRikeMBP1:~ trike$ texdoc tabularx
-bash: texdoc: command not found

It went away with the switch from 2007 to 2008 and is no longer  
available with this distribution. Is that correct? Thanks.
