TexShop: Monaco 14 points, Tab Spaces: 4

TextMate: Monaco 14 points, Tab Size: 4

I have inserted a line above the line with the problem containing  
repeated <tab>p

TexShop (has syntax colouring)  result on screen:

Interesting: the final p on the inserted line in TexShop  is 1  
"position" further to the right compared to TextMate.
 From a visual inspection it seems as if TexShop is not spacing  
exactly with 4 spaces.
