[OS X TeX] Grammar checker [OT]

While we're OT, I seem to recall that the that/which distinction was
invented by Strunk and White, partly on the grounds that it was
wasteful to have two words which served exactly the same purpose.

This, at least, is the story that was told in a, now otherwise forgotten,
article I read some years agon on the matter.

The NYTimes commentary linked earlier in this discussion is the best exposition
of the distinction I have seen.
