Sorry, David.  I did try that, but it does not work.  It does not 
center the description, and it also causes the translation to follow 
the description immediately in the same line.  I tried breaking that by 
blank line or //; the former did not work, the latter did not have the 
description centered and also suffered from the same page break 
problem.
