Short explanation about TeXDist GUI

We can say that the whole TeXDist design is a wrapper over a TeX/
LaTeX/ConTeXt distribution.
It is made of

- a wrapper structure, explained in /Library/TeX/Distributions/
TeXDist-description.rtf
- the texdist command line tool maintained by Gerben
- a TeXDist Preference Pane to make easy to manage distributions
- a TeX Distribution Helper, which does nothing yet except hiding
the .texdist contents.

The texdist command line tool and the TeXDist Preference Pane are
different.
Both have their own version.

You will find the latest versions of the TeXDist Preference Pane and
the TeX Distribution Helper at

http://www.u-bourgogne.fr/monge/j.laurens/TeXDist.html

Normally, standard users should not have to upgrade. This should be
automatic when installing a new distribution.

However, if you ever plan to install an exotic distribution which is
not smart enough to update the TeXDist preference pane automagically,
then you should consider to upgrade manually.

The latest version is "build 19". Since the initial "build 6", a bug
was fixed that appeared only for some forthcoming ConTeXt minimal
distribution and caused the preferences app to freeze.
Other changes concerned the GUI enhancement, useful for newbies
essentially, and typos.

Announcements for new versions of the TeXDist preference pane are
limited to the MacTeX list due to its more technical aspect.
However, if there is some significant enhancement, people will be
told here too.
