[OS X TeX] OT: applescripting find/replace limitations

My regex fu is weak. I am but a grasshopper, but will keep that in mind.

Glad I didn't start with that.

It seems to be that one can't insert more than one pair of angle  
brackets when replacing, so I'll just use a placeholder and then  
replace all the placeholders with the real thing at the end ---  
brilliant thought on the drive home. What's the French line about  
``the wit of the staircase''? (meaning the brilliant retort one  
thinks of when climbing the stairs to go to bed after the party is  
over).
