Correct. However, the format does have a defined option of including  
a vector representation from which can be used to re-generate the  
bitmap which one sees so that one can get a high-resolution version  
--- Fireworks is one application which uses this capability to good  
effect. It would be nice if others would as well (or if there are  
others, anyone who knows can clue me in off-list).
