Folks,

Recall that MacTeX install packages are linked from

	www.tug.org/mactex/

Until today, there were two such packages:

	MacTeX-2007.dmg
	MacTeXtras.dmg

The first is the full install package for TeX Live 2007, Ghostscript,
GUI Applications,
etc. The second has additional Front Ends, Spell Checkers,
Documentation,
and Showcase items. The links for these two packages point to their
storage
spots on CTAN.

Happily, we now have servers for the remaining packages, so in the
middle of
the MacTeX page there is a link under "Mactex Updates and Alternate
Pieces" which brings up a new page, containing links to

	texlive-2007-beamerpatch

	mactex-additions

	gwtex

	texlive-2007-dev

	tetex

The first is a small 2.4 MB package which will upgrade Beamer in TeX
Live 2007
(as installed by MacTeX-2007) to version 3.07. This fixes several
bugs in Beamer.

The next three are current as of March 21, containing for instance
Gerben's
Ghostscript release from last weekend. "mactex-additions" contains
everything
in MacTeX except the TeX distribution. Hence installing "mactex-
additions"
and one or more of gwtex, texlive-2007-dev, or tetex will provide a
complete
TeX. "gwtex" is Gerben Wierda's current TeX distribution.
"texlive-2007-dev" is
the current development release of TeX Live 2007, more recent than
the DVD
version (primarily, it contains Beamer 3.07). Finally tetex is the
old tetex-based
distribution from 2006. It will never be upgraded and is present for
historical
reasons.
