Hello,

There was a discussion on this list about some incompatibility
between pdfsync and other packages.
Here is one more minimal example with Paul Taylor's diagrams package:

===================
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{diagrams}
\usepackage{pdfsync}
\begin{document}
\noindent monomorphism:
\begin{diagram}E&\pile{\rTo^v\\
\rTo_w}&F&\rTo^u&G
\end{diagram}
epimorphism:
\begin{diagram}E&\rTo^u&F&\pile{\rTo^v\\
\rTo_w}&G
\end{diagram}
end...
\end{document}
===================

Try it with and without using pdfsync.
(I'm using pdfsync 2007/01/15 v1.0)
Sorry if this is a known problem...

Here is part of the log:
===================================================================
< Paul Taylor's commutative diagrams - version 3.91, August 2006 >
>>>>>>>> POSTSCRIPT MODE (DVIPS) IS NOW THE DEFAULT <<<<<<<<<<<<
(DVI mode has not been supported since 1992 and produces inferior
results which are completely unsuitable for publication. However,
if you really still need it, you can still get it by loading the
package using ``\usepackage[UglyObsolete]{diagrams}'' instead. )
===================================================================)
