[OS X TeX] PDF security

In a pdf file created by TeXShop, I am trying to delete a page  
number. I open the pdf file in Acrobat Pro, choose TouchUp Text tool,  
click on the page number I want to delete and the bounding box does  
not appear.

Anybody knows why?
