Howdy,

The engine files that are within TeXShop are there for initialization  
purposes only; i.e., if you remove ~/Library/TeXShop/Engines/* the  
base set will be recreated automatically. The engines that are  
executed are the ones in ~/Library/TeXShop/Engines/.
