Howdy,

Suppose there happens to exist a command in the present directory  
called foo that does nothing but `rm -fr *` and you are expecting to  
execute a command foo that exists in a later part of the PATH.  
Executing foo in that directory will, unexpectedly, destroy all files  
and sub-directories of that directory. This is a bit far fetched but  
I think you get the idea.
