[OS X TeX] MacTeX - a few questions

This is how I see it in my laptop (untouched by Quark). But on the  
other hand, I didn't install MacTeX, but just TeXLive-2007, so  
TeXShop, BibDesk, etc., live outside /Applications/TeX, which only  
contains TeX Distribution Helper; could this be the difference?
