Dear Professor Koch,

I tried several times to reply to your mail but failed.
Your mail system did not accept my mail so that using
this mailing list is the only way I can do. Sorry for
others.

==========

It's really nice to talk with you. One year after TUG 2003,
I changed my notebook with PowerBook, and since then TeXShop
became my best partner.

> QUESTION 1: Did you install using MacTeX, an install...

I just installed CTAN:/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX-20061110.dmg.
Before MacTeX, I used the fink version because I could not compile
DVIPDFMx with Gerben Wierda's i-Installer. But it was now possible
with MacTeX so that I changed from the fink version to MacTeX.

You are right and "maxpfb" is not needed for DVIPDFM and DVIPDFMx.
Even though --maxpfb is attached, it will be ignored silently.

Best regards,
Jin-Hwan Cho.
