[OS X TeX] Anybody having success with mbboard?

Hi,

does anybody manage to get the packages mbboard running (using 
TeXLife-2007, OS X 10.4.10, Intel)? I wanted to use them to get 
blackboard greek characters. Latin blackboard characters can be 
obtained with amsfontf, amssymb, or txfonts.

I am getting the error that it cannot find the mbb10.mf file. I have 
put all mbbXX.mf files both into 
~/Library/texmf/tex/latex/misc/mytex/... and into 
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/metafont/misc/

The full error message is:
