Do your local linux gurus know about ivtools?

These are drawing tools that allow you to edit eps directly, although
the software does have that mid-90's look and feel still not uncommon
with some old unix based stuff. It may also require pstoedit to
convert eps to "idraw" eps, which is still standard eps with some
additional formatting that allow the tools to work. It may not be
required by the newer versions (it's hard to tell from the website). I
can't personally recommend or not recommend it, but maybe your linux
people will be happy to give it a shot.
