[OS X TeX] epstopdf (!) and grayscale eps?

Have a look at the README under http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/ 
support/epstopdf/
There are some options listed but I think nothing regarding the color  
output. But there is an email-address at the bottom of this file...

Further packages you can find there as well.
