[OS X TeX] Emacs <-> TexShop

So create a simview command that tells the viewer application to use  
the non-default PDF output file!  Or make your simpdftex command open  
the right file for display! AUCTeX is pretty sure that in non-pdfTeX  
mode no PDF will be created, it even doesn't have commands to convert  
DVI to whatever.

Maybe you have more success on the GNU Emacs Help list: mailto:help- 
gnu-emacs at gnu.org. Some AUCTeX developers are reading it.
