[OS X TeX] installing package in texshop

My TeX (installed with i-Installer) has beamer installed. Mine is in:

/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex/tex/latex/beamer

Have tried typesetting something with beamer and it didn't work? If  
not, give it a shot. If it doesn't work, then what distribution of  
TeX did you install?
