Configuration: during language selection, the default language set is  
empty. A reset still produces an empty set.

A compile time : a few font problems. Namely there was a generation  
of pk bitmaps for most of the cm fonts. The lm fonts work well. The  
bsr type 1 cm fonts seem to be invisible for pdftex...
