[OS X TeX] R, paradigm to bring into the LaTeX world?

I understand now. The requested effort for this particular package is  
(almost entirely) unnecessary and, within the bounds of reason, might  
be asking too much. My apologies for spouting off about it as I did  
before completely understanding all this.

OTOH, I still find the general idea that LaTeX packages are findable- 
by-topic, readable-for-help-info, and on-the-fly-installable/ 
updatable from within ONE working LaTeX/TeX "client" (ie,  
TeXShop ...) very appealing. Couple this with a "GUI-like-overview"  
of the local LaTeX/TeX package installation from within the same  
application, and I would feel that I could be ... a lot more  
productive at actually USING LaTeX.
