[OS X TeX] simpdftex doesn't generate DVI files

simpdftx produces a PDF file via a DVI file and a PS file with tex  
and dvips and a distiller (e.g. ps2pdf). So, if a PDF file was  
produced, a DVI file has been produced as well (unless a DVI file was  
the input).

So, what you mean with DVI file not found is unclear to me.
