Installing XeTeX is straightforward enough from source, use svn to  
checkout the sources, then the scripts to build and then install it.

The specifics have all been posted to the xetex mailing list, so are  
in the archives, and I think they're on the main XeTeX pages at  
http://scripts.sil.org/xetex
