Show us an excerpt from the LOG file!

There should be tags like 'LaTeX Font Info' in it that might give  
some pointers ...

What happens when you latex a LaTeX file that uses the PostScript  
fonts Times, Helvetica, and Courier?


Where did you install all the arev files? Did you use an editor to  
adapt some files?
