[OS X TeX] preferred tool for presentations

I never found that getting into Beamer was that straightforward. For  
a quick and not so dirty solution (and if you do not need fancy  
stuff) you can have a look at

Just change a few lines at the beginning of an {article} and see what  
happens. The manual recommends :

>
> \usepackage[screen]{pdfseminar}
>
> \begin{screen}
>   \sloppy
>   \color{TextYellow}
>   \backgroundcolor{PaleBlue}
