[OS X TeX] Non OS X fonts with XeTeX

At the time, this worked perfectly well. Now, however -- after a reinstallation of TeX and XeTeX --, this trick does not seem to work anymore.

A possible explanation could be be a change in the XeTeX code, but this is certainly not the only possibility. Would anyone happen to have an idea about how this problem could possibly be circumvented?
