Not to mention that TeXview.app was probably modeled after Classic  
Mac OS's Textures (replacing PostScript with QuickDraw). I never had  
access to a NeXT cube, but in any case the Textures UI and the  
TeXShop UI have pretty much in common --- with, of course, nowadays'  
TeXShop going far beyond what Textures had to offer. The OzTeX UI, as  
well, has pretty much in common with the Textures UI.
