No. It is inside pdfTeX. When you use pdfTeX you would need to drop the 
use of graphics, or more exact: no \usepackage{graphics}. Which is 
hard.

The easy workaround is latex with DVI output and then for example 
dvipdfm or the traditional way with simpdftex (formerly known as 
altpdftex), i.e. dvips and then ps2pdf.
