I would like to be able to sort all the citations in a bib file, (by
date et al.) and then resave the file, and have the bib text file
reflect the sorting that has just been done.

On a related note, when performing an export to html format, although
the html will reflect the sort column which has been used, it does
not reflect the sign of the sort. For example, if you save by date,
the oldest citations will always be at the top, even if in the
bibliography the sorting column has been selected to have the newest
citations appear at the top.
This is a general issue, the same thing happens when sorting by first
author. Authors beginning with 'A' will always appear at the top of
the html file.

Can this be fixed?
Does BibDesk interact with Spotlight in any way?

James
