[OS X TeX] Spotlight and .tex files

By any chance are all of your tex files created by TeXShop (or  
BBEdit, etc.)?

None of my .tex files have been indexd, but I have created them all  
with emacs of some flavour. Spotlight uses the Type/Creator codes to  
identify the file?
