Hi,

in addition to installing a second printer (as suggested by Pete 
Dyballa; a good strategy if you don't need a lot of different option 
sets), you can just use the usual CUPS printing options:

lp -o sides=two-sided-short-edge filename ENTER
lp -o sides=two-sided-long-edge filename ENTER

for more options, look at http://localhost:631/sum.html in your browser 
(provided your web server is active and configured properly; otherwise, 
open /usr/share/doc/cups/sum.html ).
