[OS X TeX] iinstaller packages are not documents

Howdy,

If you've got a broadband connection then thinning the i-packages after
downloading, etc., is what I do. Of course, if you're going to want to keep
an older version around, just in case, you can't do that. I've got all my
packages thinned to 1MB.
