[OS X TeX] input versus include in Texshop

All,

I'd like to use pdfsync to ease the editing process. In Texshop, if I
use \include{file}, then all is well, but latex documentation claims
that \include is equivalent to \clearpage\input\clearpage. Indeed, I
get a new page when I use \include{filename}. But at least pdfsync
works.

If I use \input{filename} instead, pdfsync will not work on the input
file, but I don't get the \clearpages.

Workaround? I don't want my include commands to make the input file
start on a new page.
