[OS X TeX] New TeX i-Package release in *EXPERIMENTAL* i-Directory

I would recommend to store the custom formats in ~/Library/web2c. The 
back-ups should be no concern, at least not for me; I have Retrospect 
back-up daily my entire home directory. These days the size of back-ups 
is measured in GB not MB.

My very fairly elaborate custom formats usually have a size of 1.2MB, 
which makes wonder what possible could account for the difference to 
25MB.
