Howdy,

Well, you can do something like this simply. Make a macro with the name
Boldface, have its contents be \textbf{#SEL##INS#} and assign it to
Opt-Cmd-b and similar for Emphasis or Italic. Sorry, can't change the Cmd-B
directly. I think you could in iTeXMac or maybe that is already done there.
