Hello!

Does anyone know why utf8.def and utf8enc.dfu propagate such wrong
definitions?

\DeclareUnicodeCharacter{02CA}{\textasciitilde}	% at U+02DC you'll find
SMALL TILDE, U+02CA is the MODIFIER LETTER ACUTE ACCENT
\DeclareUnicodeCharacter{02D9}{\textperiodcentered} % it's at U+00B7,
U+02D9 is the DOT ABOVE accent
\DeclareUnicodeCharacter{0E37}{\textbaht} % it's at U+0E3F, U+0E37 is
the THAI CHARACTER SARA UEE

Are these files used at all? Who is responsible for them? Will teTeX 3
be incorrect too?

Greetings
