[OS X TeX] pdfsync and TeXShop

I too was having trouble like you describe. This was on a large 
manuscript (several hundred pages) with a lot of stuff commented out to 
save typesetting time. I found that my problem was because I was 
commenting out some of the frontmatter of the book. If I included the 
frontmatter, pdfsync worked as it should. Thankfully, the frontmatter 
doesn't contribute much to the processing time.
