Have you had a look at Smultron? A nice, native text editor for OS X, 
which offers a *similar* functionality (you have your files sitting in 
a drawer next to your main window -like in Apple's Mail) and LaTeX 
syntax coloring. Plus you can sync the preferences using .Mac, store 
code snippets in a different drawer and combine several files in a 
project- it doesn't have the "label/section" functions, though.
