[OS X TeX] scripting BBEdit (was Tabular/array macros)

I don't understand in what sense the TeX syntax coloring and the latex 
glossary are connected to scripting in BBEdit. Are they of any help 
when writing a script related to TeX (we can think of some syntax 
checking for example)?
