It looks like a mess:

- /opt/local/bin: Do you have DarwinPorts installed by any chance? But
then, if I remember correctly from the time I had it installed myself,
this directory is added at the end of the default path, not at the
beginning.

- /usr/local/bin: Why have it twice?

- /usr/X11R6/bin: Is this really necessary? I have Apple's X11 myself,
up and working, and I don't have this in my default path which reads:

	Portable-de-Bruno:~ brunovoisin$ echo $PATH
	/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/teTeX/bin/
powerpc-apple-darwin-current

Is this for using X11 apps from within Terminal.app?

- /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current: Why have it twice
as well?

-
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/teTeX/bin/
powerpc-apple-darwin-current: This looks like what should be there for
a standard OS X install + gwTeX. The rest may be necessary depending on
what's installed on your setup, but I think it should appear
afterwards, not before, and with no duplicate entries.
