[OS X TeX] TeXShop and landscape

Two things you may try:

- \usepackage{graphics} or \usepackage{geometry}: even if you don't use 
these packages, launching either of them will perform some 
initializations which matter when using pdfTeX.

- In Page Setup (from the File menu), switch to landscape then quit and 
restart TeXShop.
